Hardinge Radius Tool


Radius tools are designed to cut accurate radii on the lathe. One example below is a pair of special Dzus fasteners - the radius on the heads of these stainless steel replicas is obvious.



The radius tool which allows fabrication of these parts is shown below, and is most often used to make special reproductions of rivets, ball sockets, thumbscrews, and the like used in the WWII radios.
