Aircraft Temperature gage info
Aircraft temperature gages are commonly available and can be used in a fun project for your aircraft
shack to indicate inside and outside air temperatures. The thermistors are available from Digikey
and others at quite reasonable prices. Normally reading in degrees Celsius, a new scale can be made with a
computer graphics package and overlaid on the original. Occasionally one can find scales marked in Farenheit,
but they are not common. The larger 3 1/2" meters are easier to read, of course.
The information below provides the basics needed to design your own, depending on
the model you find.
