DU-1 Direction Finding Loop Info

The Navy DU-1 was part of a series of direction finding preselectors for use with the RU reciver. The DU, DU-1, and DU-2 were natural progressions with essentially the same design but slight improvements. The DU-1 and DU-2 reduced the frequency range available in the original DU when it was discovered that the upper part of the frequency range gave erroneous directional information at night.
