This auction is for one B-29 pilot or co-pilot?s seat. There are not many of these left and I have not seen a B-29 pilot?s seat on eBay. I had 6 of these about 15 years ago and sold them. There were tags on the seats that identified them as being from a B-29. Also, if you will remember in the TV series MASH, Hawkeye and Trapper had one or two of these seats in their tent. There are several B-29 websites that show clear pictures of the B-29 cockpit and pictures of the pilot and co-pilot seats. There is a website about a Castle AFB B-29 that has good pictures of the B-29 seats. I should be running future auctions for more B-29 seats. I have located several more of these and I know they would make an interesting find for someone. The seat has 3 adjustments and also has what I call an "inertia" cable that connects to top of the harness of the pilot or co-pilot. This is the neatest thing I have seen in some time. Buyer, contact me within 24 hrs. of auction?s end and we will discuss payment and shipping. Shipping is going to be tricky because of the size of the seat. It will not fold up. It may have to be taken apart somewhat. The seat is not that heavy but would have to ship in a good sized box. I think I will limit this auction to the USA only.
