This amplifier was intended to increase the rather marginal outputs of the APT-1 or APT-3 to a more reasonable 150 watts. It operated Class B because the jammers were DSBRC, with a modulation bandwidth approaching 3MHz. Frequency coverage for this amplifier was 85-150MHz, using a pair of push-pull 4E27s.
